Celebrity Waiters’ & Waitresses’ Night

Imagine the thrill of asking a former TV sports reporter to bring you some ketchup for your burger. Or requesting that he flag down the dessert tray. Or informing him that you, too, are concerned about the endangered Javan rhino, and, incidentally, your steak is overdone. These are the sorts of fantasies that come true at the annual Celebrity Waiters’ & Waitresses’ Night to benefit the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. Guests order from the regular menus at Cardwell’s at the Plaza and Canyon Café at Plaza Frontenac, and the tips that they leave for the local celebs laboring as servers are donated to the charity, a shelter that helps prevent child abuse and neglect. Look for a raffle, too. Reservations are recommended.
