Quick Trip awards $20,000 grant to Saint Louis Crisis Nursery
Quick Trip has awarded a $20,000 grant to the St. Louis Crisis Nursery to support its home- and community-based services for families.
The grant will help fund family counseling, home visits, community outreach and parent education groups. It also will provide financial assistance for people needing shelter, utilities, food and medication.
The Crisis Nursery, committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, is an independent not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term safe haven for children birth through age 12 whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis. Located at five sites throughout the greater St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions, the Crisis Nursery provides care 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Celebrating its 24th year of caring for children, Crisis Nursery has been a safe haven to more than 59,000 children, and has provided support and counseling to more than 78,000 families.
