Melissa Burkley, PhD, researches issues of stereotypes, stigma and group processes at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Dr. Burkley is an assistant professor at Oklahoma State and teaches courses in Research Methods in Psychology, Social Psychology, and Stereotypes and Prejudice. She runs the Social Cognition Research Lab at the university and writes “The Social Thinker” blog for Psychology Today.
