“The Family Emergency Fund helps families that are in danger of being evicted from their homes,” said DiAnne Mueller, CEO of Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. “There are many families with children who have nowhere else to turn in a crisis. The emergency fund helps some families avoid becoming homeless and provides financial assistance to keep vital utilities turned on.”

The Crisis Nursery, committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, is an independent, not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for children, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis. Located at five sites, the Crisis Nursery provides 24-hour care, 365 days a year, to children in the greater St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois, and surrounding regions.
