University of Missouri Research Park Background
March 14, 2005
The Missouri Research Park is the first business park in the St. Louis region to market exclusively to technology-intensive and research-based companies. The 200-acre research and development park, with more than 1.2 million square feet under roof, has been recognized as a catalyst for development along the Highway 40/61 high-tech corridor in St. Charles County.
Today, 14 companies and three government facilities are located within the Park and employ approximately 1,800 people. The Missouri Research Park is owned and operated by the University of Missouri Office of Economic Development and Research Parks, whose mission is to support Missouri’s economic growth by developing and sustaining research and technology alliances among the University, government agencies and private companies.
In mid-2005, a new Wingate Inn Hotel will open in the Missouri Research Park next to the award-winning Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. The hotel features a 24-hour business center, meeting and conference space, an indoor pool and exercise facilities. Golf packages are available. A “Virtual Tour” of the Park with descriptions of amenities and information on companies located there is available at www.um-mrp.org.
The Missouri Research Park is located on Highway 40/61 at Highway 94. For more information, call (636) 441-7701 or visit the Missouri Research Park web site at www.um-mrp.org.
