ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Charlotte McClure of Chesterfield, one of five “local heroes” to receive the Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s 2009 Local Hero Award, donated the award’s $5,000 grant to St. Louis Crisis Nursery. McClure is chair of Crisis Nursery’s Best Friends, a group of volunteers who work with kids in the nursery and organize the auction at the annual Razzle Dazzle Ball.
“Charlotte’s leadership has really mobilized this group to become active and dedicated, and helped it grow to more than 100 volunteers,” said DiAnne Mueller, CEO of Crisis Nursery. The award was presented at Bank of America’s St. Louis Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Awards event on November 18, 2009.
