Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation donates $1,000 to Crisis Nursery

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI –The Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation has donated a $1,000 grant to Saint Louis Crisis Nursery for their safe haven and child abuse prevention programs. Build-A-Bear Workshop supports children’s health and wellness causes by donating one dollar from the proceeds of each sale of a teddy bear named Champ – A Champion Fur Kids.
The Crisis Nursery, committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, is an independent, not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for children, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis. Located at five sites throughout the greater St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions, the Crisis Nursery provides care 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Celebrating its 24th year of caring for children, Crisis Nursery has been a safe haven to more than 56,000 children, and has provided support and counseling to more than 75,000 families.
