Others are experiencing homelessness, a health crisis or a utility/food crisis.

The renovated three-story nursery will serve 2,500 children a year, 500 more than the previous location at Forest Park Hospital School of Nursing, with separate spaces for babies and older children.

An entire floor of the building is devoted to programs that address the needs of parents, delivered by Crisis Nursery’s therapeutic team of Family Empowerment professionals.

The Crisis Nursery is an independent, not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for children at five metro St. Louis sites. The Crisis Nursery provides care 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for children, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis.
