Jilly's Cupcake celebrates National Cupcake Day with fundraiser for Crisis Nursery
August 30, 2010
ST. LOUIS, MO – Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe celebrated National Cupcake Day (August 18) by teaching Heidi Glaus of KDSK-TV how to build the perfect cupcake. Glaus designed her own special cupcake – chocolate with chocolate gnash, peanut butter buttercream and a Reese’s peanut butter cup – and Jilly’s Cupcake sold more than 50 of them that day, donating $267 of the proceeds to the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.
“I’ve never really enjoyed stepping into the kitchen, but you have to smile when you make cupcakes,” said Glaus. “Sprinkle in the fact that Jill was willing to donate some of the proceeds to my favorite charity and it was a delicious recipe even I couldn’t mess up.”
