Tom Zimmerman Promoted at Walton Construction

ST. LOUIS, MO – Walton Construction St. Louis recently promoted Tom Zimmerman to manager of project accounting. Tom joined Walton Construction in early 2006 and was immediately assigned to the $265 million Ameristar Casino Hotel and Parking Garage project in St. Charles, Missouri.
"Tom managed all accounting aspects of the Ameristar-St. Charles project over the past three years, proving himself a valuable asset to Walton," said Steve Biederman, president of Walton St. Louis.
As manager of project accounting Tom will prepare budgets and reports, coordinate record keeping functions and enforce policies and procedures related to financial practices. He also will oversee Walton-St. Louis’s accounting staff.
A St. Louis native, Tom attended Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri prior to graduating from University of Missouri St. Louis, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as well as a Missouri State teaching certificate in mathematics. Prior to entering the construction industry, Tom spent five years as a high school mathematics teacher for Mehlville School District. He and his family are active participants in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual “Light the Night” walk. Tom also partners with his father in volunteering time for Habitat for Humanity.
