Gitana Productions, Inc. is a not-for-profit arts and education organization dedicated to increasing cultural awareness and appreciation through international music, dance and drama. Gitana events offer a rarely seen diversity of international and local artists, exhibiting a mix of traditional and innovative artistic expression.
Gitana's "Faces of Love" events have featured the China National Orchestra, Brazilian vocalist Virginia Rodriguez, Japanese violinist Aska Kaneko and the Afro-Peruvian performance troupe Peru Negra.
On October 12th, internationally renowned performance artist Hassan Hakmoun will blend his Moroccan rhythm with the Jewish rock energies of top-touring musician Rick Recht at the Faces of Love Concert 2006. The concert, sponsored by Gitana Productions, will be held at the Sheldon Concert Hall in the heart of St. Louis’ Grand Center arts district.
Gitana also sponsors the annual “Deeds Beyond Race: Extraordinary/Ordinary Person of the Year” campaign which recognizes and honors individuals who reach beyond race and culture to improve our community.
